The wedge cut tester 2 to 2000µm is a destructive test method according to ISO 2808 for the inspection and coating thickness measurement of single or multiple coatings on virtually all substrates, including wood, plastics, metals, etc. The existing microscope of the wedge cut tester is equipped with a double scale (mm and inch). A rubber end cap on the microscope reduces the ambient light so that you have a better focus on the sample during the test. Stray light has a significant influence on the evaluation of coating thicknesses.
