Two ways to the perfect result: HVLP and RP®
The "Extra-Sparsame" SATAjet X 5500 HVLP achieves particularly high transfer rates with its low-pressure technology.
The "extra-fast" SATAjet X 5500 RP for maximum working speed with optimised high-pressure technology and low overspray.
Both variants can be used very flexibly, fulfil the highest demands on the painting result and clearly exceed the transfer rates of 65 % required by the VOC directive.
Top in all areas of application - SATAjet X 5500
With the SATAjet X 5500 you can achieve the highest surface quality: when painting e.g. cars, commercial vehicles, furniture, yachts or high-quality industrial parts - with all paint systems.

Revolutionary. Economical. Quiet. Logical.
The revolutionary nozzle system
Demanding paint systems and new processing recommendations create new possibilities, but also present the user with challenges. The SATAjet X 5500 sets a new standard for the future with the new X nozzle system.
The nozzle system is simple and easy to understand: The two proven technologies - namely HVLP and RP - remain.
There are "I" and "O" nozzle sets for each.
With increasing nozzle size in the respective technology (HVLP/RP) and jet shape ("I" or "O"), the material ejection also increases constantly - this means that the respective jet height and width remain the same across the entire spectrum. The user therefore has a transparent and logical system that gives him clear and structured decision-making options.
The "I" nozzles have an elongated jet shape with a short run-off zone and a drier jet core, which is ideal for a lower application speed and offers maximum control during painting. The coating thickness per spray pass is slightly lower compared to an "O" nozzle with the same nozzle size.
- Stretched jet shape with little run-off zone
- Improved control during application
- Reduced layer application per spray pass compared to the previous or "O" nozzle
The "O" nozzles have an oval jet shape with a larger run-off zone and a wet jet core, which is suitable for higher application speeds, but offers slightly less control during painting. The coating thickness per spray pass is slightly higher with the same nozzle size compared to an "I" nozzle.
- Oval jet shape with larger run-off zone
- Wet jet core for a higher working speed
- Coating thickness per spray pass slightly higher than with the "I" nozzle
Advantages
- Revolutionary: The atomisation of the X-nozzles sets new standards
- Noticeably quieter: Whisper nozzle™ thanks to optimised flow geometry, reduced noise level in the relevant frequency ranges
- Customised: Suitable for every application requirement, such as properties of the paint system, climatic conditions or painting habits (working speed/control)
- Precise: Optimised material distribution for more even and finer atomisation in both spray variants
- Low maintenance: No air distributor ring required, making cleaning easier and quicker
- Logical: Constant jet dimensions for all nozzle sizes (within the respective technology) with evenly increasing material throughput
- Efficient: Significant material savings are possible with the same application method
What are the advantages of the X-nozzle system?
Depending on the characteristics of the paint system, the climatic conditions and the painting habits, the painter can select the spray gun with the appropriate nozzle set for his individual requirements. Thanks to the logical structure of the system, decisions can be made easily and safely to achieve optimum painting results.
What else is new?
Thanks to the new paint and air nozzles and the optimised air distribution in the gun body, the air distribution ring can now also be dispensed with. In addition, the volume of this whisper nozzle has also been noticeably reduced during application, giving the painter a softer, more pleasant feeling when painting. And best of all: the X-nozzle gun uses less paint material!
Spray moulds
In order to achieve an optimum spray jet without any compromises, far more factors than simply ambient temperature and humidity must be taken into account.
The selected paint material with corresponding additives, the object size, the recommended coating thickness and individual painting habits such as working speed or control also play an important role when selecting a nozzle.
