The protection class and the special filters

The SATA air star F 2.0 is equipped with combination filters that provide double protection: They provide protection against organic gases and vapours (boiling point > 65°C) as well as fine dust, oil and water vapours.

The mask fulfils the protection classes:

• A2: Protection against organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C.
• P3: Protection against fine dust and oil and water vapours, up to 30 times the occupational exposure limit.

The "R" in the classification stands for "reusable". This means that the special air star F 2.0 filters can be used for more than one work shift. However, they should be replaced after one week at the latest.

Care and storage

To ensure the functionality and protection of the mask, the filters must be replaced at least once a week or earlier if the mask is subject to high levels of stress. Between uses, the mask should be stored in an airtight container, for example in the box in which it was supplied or in the SATA hygiene box.
