The Elcometer 214 is a simple, user-friendly, non-contact thermometer that uses infrared technology to safely and accurately measure the surface temperature of non-reflective materials.
With a user switchable measurement range of -35°C to 365°C or -31°F to 689°F, it provides a digital temperature reading in less than a second.

The Elcometer 214 digital infrared laser thermometer has a D/T (distance to target) ratio of 8:1 and measures the emitted energy from a target point one eighth the size of the working distance.< /p>
As can be seen in the diagram, the diameter of the measured area is 25 mm (1"), for example, if the distance from the sensor optics to the target is 200 mm (8").
