Elcometer 456 Probes Scale 2 – Measuring Range 0–5 mm
The Scale 2 probes measure thick coatings from 0 to 5 mm, e.g. corrosion protection, rubber and plastic coatings. In addition to the straight probe there are scan, 90°, telescopic and PINIP™ probes, a probe for soft coatings, waterproof probes with 1 to 75 m cable and a high-temperature PINIP™ up to 250 °C.
All probes are fully interchangeable: simply plug them into the Elcometer 456 for separate probes, the gauge recognises the probe automatically. Every probe is supplied with a test certificate.
Which probe fits my gauge?
- Ferrous probes (F) fit Elcometer 456 ferrous (F) and FNF gauges
- Non-ferrous probes (N) fit Elcometer 456 non-ferrous (NF) and FNF gauges
- FNF combination probes fit Elcometer 456 FNF gauges only
Probe types
- Straight probe: standard for flat and slightly curved surfaces
- Scan probe: for fast measurement of large areas, replaceable wear cap; scan mode with Elcometer 456 Model T
- 90° and mini probes: for bores, pipes, grooves and tight spots
- PINIP™ probe: integral probe without cable, plugs directly into the gauge
- Armoured cable / sealed / waterproof: for rough sites, wet environments and underwater measurement
