- Inappropriate nozzle type: Flat-jet nozzles are ideal for precise application on flat surfaces, while deflector nozzles are suitable for hard-to-reach interior areas or complex geometries.
- Incorrect distance between nozzle and workpiece: If the distance is too large, spray shape and powder distribution change – leading to uneven coating.
- Incorrect electrostatic mode: Using standard or PCC/SuperCorona® modes significantly influences powder charging – the wrong mode may cause edge build-up or poor adhesion.
