SATAjet X 5500 – Inbetriebnahme & Pflege

Initial Installation & Commissioning

  1. Check components: Scope of delivery according to manual (gun with nozzle set, 0.6 l flow cup, tool set, CCS clips) complete and undamaged.
  2. Mount cup: Correctly lock QCC flow cup; insert paint filter.
  3. Connect air: Use 1/4'' external thread at gun connection; check tight couplings/hoses.
  4. Neutral settings: Define air micrometer, round/flat spray control, and material flow regulation (document start position).
  5. Test run: Short air test, check tightness and trigger travel, then fill in sieved material.

Air Path & Compressor Check

Clean, dry air is essential. The manual specifies consumption at 2.0 bar gun inlet pressure:

Note: The manual specifies 10 bar as the maximum gun inlet pressure. However, application depends on the operating ranges of the respective systems. Always verify with a test panel.

Cleaning Protocol (After Shift)

  1. Empty material, fill in suitable cleaner, flush briefly.
  2. Remove/clean nozzle, air cap, needle; do not use aggressive brushes.
  3. Check seats and seals, lightly oil – reassemble.
  4. Store gun dry; insert cup/filter clean.
