Robotic polishers are integrated into automated surface-finishing processes. Motion, pad, polish and contact guidance must suit the substrate. Unlike manual work, dosing, paths and change sequences must be defined in the installation. A suitable head provides the technical basis; trial the desired finish using the whole process on the workpiece.
Rotary and orbital concepts place different demands on design. Choose the head by area, contour and access. Use matching plates and approved pads. A compact diameter reaches small zones but does not automatically speed or simplify large-area work.
Polishing effect arises from the complete combination and substrate. Clarify product feed and quantity control. Dosing is not automatically part of the head. Also identify pad cleaning, replacement and conditioning requirements.
Programmed paths alone do not guarantee uniform processing. Tolerances, pad condition and contact guidance affect results. Check edges, recesses and longer dwell areas especially. Design the process to detect and prevent unwanted removal or heating.
Define suitable surface-assessment criteria. Residue removal and inspection may be separate stages, not automatically in the head. Plan pad changes, cleaning and safe maintenance access. Integration also includes control, power and safety assessment of the whole area.

Learn moreNot necessarily. Feed, dosing and control must be specified separately in contents or installation design.
Not automatically. Check approval, dosability, pads and process conditions. A good manual result cannot transfer by matching speed alone.
No. Result depends on complete arrangement, substrate and process control. Assess on the component using defined quality criteria.
