Tieser Solvent Distillation Unit, DIstatic Series, Type Di 12 AX
The Tieser Solvent Distillation Unit with stainless steel (INOX) cooler. These distillation units from the Distatic series are available with a choice of working capacities of 12, 25 or 60 litres. They are suitable for the recovery and reuse of contaminated solvents from cleaning and degreasing processes.
Process description:
By utilising simple distillation, contaminants (such as resins, polymers, pigments, paints, oils, etc.) are separated from the original solvent. The contaminated solvent is boiled in a stainless steel kettle (Inox AISI 304). Uniform heating is achieved via a heating jacket filled with heat transfer oil, which is heated by one or more heating elements. The solvent vapours produced are directed into an air- or water-cooled condenser. The condensed solvent is collected directly into a container for subsequent reuse. In the case of liquid contaminants, the residues are discharged by simply tilting the vessel. For solid contaminants, a heat- and solvent-resistant foil bag is used. The properties of the solvent are not altered by the distillation process, meaning that the process can be repeated as often as required. All units can be fitted with a vacuum system. This method is suitable for solvents with very high boiling points or for flammable solvents where the boiling point and auto-ignition temperature are close together. The vacuum can be generated pneumatically or electrically, as required.
