SATA Filter 584: High-quality compressed air filter technology for paint applications and breathing air

Technical standards and conformity
SATA Filter 584 fulfils the requirements of the following standards:
- EN 12021:2014 – This standard specifies the requirements for air quality for breathing apparatus, in particular with regard to residual oil content and particles.
- ISO 8573-1:2010 – This standard describes the purity classes for compressed air. SATA Filter 584 fulfils:
- Class 0 for lubricant aerosols (max. 0.003 mg/m³)
- Class 0 for particle separation (>99.998% for particles of 0.01 µm)
High filtration performance and safety
Thanks to the activated carbon unit of the filter, unpleasant odours and flavours are reliably separated. The separation efficiency of 99.998% at particle sizes of 0.01 µm ensures a particularly high filtration performance, so that residual oils in the compressed air are kept below 0.1 mg/m³.
Areas of application
SATA Filter 584 is ideally suited for use in compressed air systems for paint application as well as for breathing air systems according to EN 12021. This guarantees clean air for breathing as well as for the application of paints, and protects against contamination by particles, oils and other unwanted substances.
Important notes
It is important to note that the SATA filter cannot influence the gaseous water content in the air (relative humidity). This must be controlled by an upstream refrigeration dryer. With optimal interaction of all components (compressor, lines, refrigeration dryer, filter), DIN ISO 8573-1 Class 1 for compressed air quality can be achieved.
