Trabon performance indicators are pressure sensitive devices that detect excessive pressure in Trabon progressive lubrication systems. These devices, which are installed in the alternate outlet ports of inlet manifolds, signal a failure either by a protruding indicator pin or by the release of lubricant to atmosphere. All performance indicators react quickly to protect the lubrication system and find a blockage in the lubricant line.
For applications with MH divider valve when lubrication system pressures exceed 2500 psi.
- High pressure caused by blockages lead to rupture of the rupture disc
- The lubricant pushes out an indicator pin, making the blockage recognisable.
- High pressure continues backwards through the system and triggers a switch that shuts down the system
- Once the fault has been rectified, the rupture disc must be replaced and the pin reset
