The Graco FinishPro HVLP 9.5 ProContractor is a professional, portable low-pressure turbine sprayer designed for demanding fine-finish applications. Its five-stage TurboForce™ II turbine, EDGE™ II Plus spray gun and separate controls for material flow, airflow and spray pattern allow precise adjustment to the coating material and application.

The ProContractor model combines powerful atomisation with comfortable operation and excellent mobility. The SmartStart™ function automatically switches off the turbine when it is not in use, while the TurboControl system allows the turbine speed to be adjusted according to the required performance. The FlexLiner™ bag system makes it possible to spray in virtually any position – even upside down – while also simplifying colour changes and cleaning.

Setup & Commissioning

The HVLP sprayer is supplied as a complete, ready-to-use system. Before starting work, the nozzle, needle and device settings should be matched to the material being used.

Select the appropriate needle set for the material and required material output.
Insert the FlexLiner™ bag into the cup and fill it with the prepared material.
Securely connect the cup, air hose and spray gun to the unit.
Start with a low turbine speed and airflow setting.
Gradually adjust the material flow and spray pattern on a test surface.
Clean the spray gun, nozzle, needle and all material-carrying components after use.

The needles can be removed from the front of the gun for quick, tool-free replacement. To change the needle, remove the air cap and nozzle, pull back the trigger to release the needle and then pull the needle out.

According to the equipment overview, the ProContractor model is supplied with needle sets #3, #4 and #5. Additional sizes are available as accessories.

The adjustable air cap allows the operator to select a round, horizontal or vertical spray pattern. Depending on the setting, narrow detail patterns and wider spray patterns can be produced.

Important: The brochure lists needle sets #3, #4 and #5 as part of the system. In the accessory overview, #3 is specified as 0.8 mm, #4 as 1.8 mm and #5 as 2.2 mm.
