Graco heated hoses are designed specifically for use with Reactor equipment. Hoses are a critical component for the entire system, so it is important to achieve precise and consistent heating for the best possible application.
For Reactor dispensers
The new multi-core copper heating element has significantly improved hose quality:
- Offers 10x* the lifespan compared to previous flat copper heaters
- Long-term, even heating without "hot spots"
- Backwards compatible with existing Reactor heated hoses
New Xtreme-Wrap abrasion protection
- Form-fitting to the hose, no more baggy excess material
- Made of urethane-coated ballistic nylon for puncture and tear resistance, abrasion protection, and oil and water resistance
- Releases surface moisture and does not absorb water that would weigh down the hose bundle; will not freeze in cold temperatures
- Full-length hook-and-loop enclosure for easy access to hoses, fittings, and fluid temperature sensors
Joint protection
- The joint protection offers additional protection at the most vulnerable point of the hose: the electrical connections, hose fittings and material temperature sensors. Every 15 m (50 ft) of hose with the new Xtreme-Wrap includes a joint protector.
- The heated copper hoses are designed specifically for use with Graco dispensers
- Coated with a proprietary butyl layer to protect against moisture-sensitive isocyanates.
- Hoses are fitted with foam insulation for heat retention.
- Different fitting sizes on the hoses for isocyanates and resin prevent the incorrect hoses from being connected accidentally
- Hoses utilise customised fitting set to electrically connect the hoses without the need to run copper under the fittings
- Coiled whip hose with braided copper wires for added flexibility and longer service life
Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD)
- Graco has applied RTD technology to its latest state-of-the-art control developments in the Reactor 2 and Integrated Reactor. RTDs provide the highest precision and best reproducibility of the material temperature in the hose from one day to the next. Thanks to RTD technology, the device can automatically shut down if a sensor has been damaged, minimising the loss of time and material.
