Elcometer MTG Ultrasonic Material Thickness Gauge
The Elcometer MTG range measures the remaining wall thickness of steel, aluminium, plastics and other materials by ultrasound – from one side and without damaging the part. From the MTG4, Echo-Echo ThruPaint™ mode measures straight through coatings up to 2 mm without removing them.
Automatic transducer recognition, the built-in zero disc and 39 stored materials ensure fast, accurate readings. The MTG2 is supplied complete with a 5 MHz transducer; MTG4, MTG6 and MTG8 are offered here as gauge only – matching transducers are available as accessories.
