Elcometer 456 with integral probe – measure coating thickness with one hand
On the Elcometer 456 with integral probe, the probe is built directly into the gauge. The wide Bigfoot™ probe base sits securely on the surface, so the gauge is easy to use with one hand and gives repeatable readings, even on rough and curved surfaces. Choose the probe to suit the substrate: ferrous (F) for steel, non-ferrous (N) for aluminium, copper or stainless steel, or the combined probe (FNF) for both substrates in one gauge.

- Industrial painting and powder coating: incoming and final inspection
- Corrosion protection in steel and plant construction, measurements to ISO 19840, SSPC PA2 and IMO PSPC (Model S/T)
- Hot-dip galvanising (ISO 1461) and coatings on aluminium
