Sundström SET SR 500 EX / SR 570 EX

The SR 500 EX fan is explosion-proof and specially designed for use in explosive environments. The SR 500 EX is
included in Sundström powered air-purifying respirators together with filters and a headpiece. The blower can
be used as an alternative to filter protection in all situations where filter protection is recommended. This applies in particular
for heavy work, work at high temperatures and work that takes a long time. The fan is equipped with filters
and the filtered air is supplied to the head section through a breathing hose. The head section is then pressurised
, thus preventing contaminants from entering from the surrounding area.

The SR 500 EX fan has the following features:

Together with the battery-powered blower unit SR 500 or SR 700 and approved filters, the shield forms part of the respiratory protection system with blower support from Sundstrom. The breathing hose of the shield is connected to the blower with filters. The overpressure created in the shield prevents particles and other contaminants from entering the hood.
The SR 570 can also be used in combination with the SR 507 compressed air attachment. This combination provides a continuous-flow breathing apparatus for use with a compressed air connection. The equipment can be used as an alternative to filter protection in all situations where such protection
recommended. This applies particularly to heavy, warm or protracted work.
