Coarse dust filter mats are the most commonly used filter medium for pre-filtration in almost all areas of ventilation and air conditioning technology. They are robust, economical and efficient in separating coarse contaminants to protect downstream system components.
Area of application and function
Use in ventilation and air conditioning systems, supply air and exhaust air systems in buildings and industrial plants, and as pre-filters in paint shops.
Material and structure
- **Material:** High-quality synthetic fibres (often polyester) or glass fibres.
- **Structure:** The fibre mats are usually **progressively structured**, which means that the fibre density increases towards the clean air side. This ensures high dust storage capacity and optimum utilisation of the filter depth.
- **Delivery form:** As rolls or cut to size in mat form, which are inserted into filter frames.
