The SR 597 A1BE2K1 gas filter offers reliable protection against gases and vapours of various hazard classes and is specifically designed for use in professional powered air-purifying respirator systems. By combining several filter types, it enables broad-spectrum absorption whilst ensuring a high level of operational reliability.

System & Application

The filter has been developed for use in the SR 500 and SR 500 EX fan units and is used to filter gaseous contaminants in industrial work environments. Filter type A1BE2K1 offers protection against several types of gas and covers a wide range of applications.

Type A protects against organic gases and vapours (e.g. solvents with a boiling point above +65 °C), Type B against inorganic gases (e.g. chlorine, hydrogen sulphide, hydrogen cyanide), Type E against acidic gases and vapours (e.g. sulphur dioxide, hydrogen fluoride) and Type K against ammonia and certain amines.

The SR 500 / SR 500 EX blower units must always be operated with two particulate filters or two combination filters, consisting of a gas filter and a particulate filter.
