Sundström SR 520 Face Shield (S/M) for Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPR) with breathing tube

The Sundström SR 520 and SR 530 hoods have been specially developed for use with the SR 500, SR 500 EX or SR 700 fan units and, when used in conjunction with approved filters, form a high-performance powered air-purifying respirator system. They offer reliable protection during demanding tasks and in environments containing particles, gases and vapours.

System & Application

The hoods are connected to a fan fitted with a filter via a breathing tube. The positive pressure generated inside prevents the ingress of particles and other contaminants into the breathing zone.

Alternatively, the hoods can also be used with the SR 507 compressed air accessory, creating a continuous-flow breathing apparatus for compressed air connection. This flexibility allows them to be used both as a filter solution and as a compressed air system.

The systems are particularly suitable for heavy, hot or prolonged work as well as for applications where pollutants are difficult to detect or particularly hazardous.

Both versions feature an adjustable headband assembly, a chemical-resistant visor and a flexible breathing tube. The design ensures a comfortable fit and reliably prevents the visor from fogging up.
