Efficient drum and container technology is crucial for clean, safe and reproducible material supply in the mixing room. It comprises drum pumps (piston, diaphragm, gear or progressive cavity) for precise transfer of a wide range of media, complemented by agitators, drum lids and intelligent pressure and flow control. Systems for filtration and degassing ensure constant material quality, while heating jackets, trace heating and insulated hose bundles provide stable temperature control. Through grounding, ATEX-compliant components and integrated spill pallets, safety is ensured at all times – from container handling to material supply.
Drum and container systems are used in automotive and OEM coating, industrial and plastics coating as well as in body & paint environments. They ensure uniform and controlled transfer of topcoats, fillers, primers, hardeners and solvents. A correctly designed drum installation provides process-safe material supply, reduces residual quantities and downtimes and lowers VOC emissions as well as the consumption of cleaning agents. All work steps are fully documented and provide verifiable approvals with digital traceability.
When planning the transfer unit, the selection of the optimum drum pump is paramount – whether piston, diaphragm, gear or progressive cavity pump, depending on viscosity and medium type. Precise pressure and flow control ensures a constant material flow. For conditioning, agitators, filter units, degassing systems and check valves are used. Temperature control is provided by heating jackets or trace heating, supplemented by insulated hose bundles to keep viscosity constant. Handling is simplified by rolling, lifting and tilting devices, while grounding and ATEX-compliant safety systems ensure standards-compliant operation. All process data – including labels and QR codes, PDF/CSV exports, serial numbers, operator records and limit checks – are centrally documented and regularly reviewed.
The delivery and integration scope includes drum pumps, agitators and drum lids, sensors and control technology, filtration and degassing systems, heating jackets and trace heating, hose bundles, spill pallets as well as container handling systems. This is supplemented by scales, flow meters and a QC/formulation software that records process parameters and material movements in real time. During planning, room layout, material flow and instrumentation plan are precisely defined before the drum systems are fully integrated into quality workflows, report repositories and audit processes.

Core components are drum pumps (piston, diaphragm, gear, progressive cavity), agitators and drum lids, pressure and flow regulators, material filters and degassing, heated/insulated hose bundles, heating jackets/trace heating, shut-off and check valves, sensors (temperature, pressure, flow), grounding/ATEX as well as spill pallets and container handling (rolling/lifting/tilting).
Stability is achieved via suitable pump technology, controlled pressure/flow profiles, material heating (heating jacket/trace heating) and insulated lines. Agitators keep solids homogeneous, degassing prevents air inclusions. Filters protect valves and nozzles; grounding/ATEX reduces ignition risks.
Documented are drum/batch numbers, withdrawal quantities, pressure/temperature trends, filter and degassing states, drum change and residual quantity processes, operators and approvals. Evidence is provided as PDF/CSV with timestamp, labels/QR codes and limit checks. Calibration and maintenance plans (scales/flow/temperature) ensure traceability.
We plan and supply drum systems including drum pumps, agitators/drum lids, heating jackets/trace heating, sensors/control, filters/degassing and documentation – from the initial assessment through to final acceptance. The result: stable transfer, low residual quantities and audit-proof evidence.
