Scope of delivery
Fire and the associated heat development pose a considerable threat to people and materials.
Passive fire protection primarily serves to maintain the functionality of buildings, pipelines and containers for a defined period of time, as the critical core temperature is reached at temperatures of approx. 550°C and buildings are at risk of collapse. In the event of a fire, the flame-retardant material foams up, thereby limiting the temperature development in the critical area for a certain period of time. This buys valuable time for rescue and evacuation measures.
