The Tieser distillation unit for solvents with stainless steel (INOX) condenser. These Distatic series distillation units are available with a choice of 12, 25, 60 or 120 litre capacity. They are suitable for the recovery and reuse of contaminated solvents from cleaning and degreasing processes.
Description of the process:
By means of a simple distillation process, the contaminants (such as resins, polymers, pigments, paints, oils, etc.) are separated from the original solvent. The contaminated solvent is boiled in a stainless steel vessel (Inox AISI 304).
Heating is uniform, thanks to a heating jacket of heat transfer oil that is heated by one or more heating rods. The solvent vapours that are produced are conducted into an air- or water-cooled condenser.
The condensed solvent is collected directly in a container for subsequent reuse. For liquid contaminants, the residues are emptied by simply tilting the boiler. For solid contaminants, use a heat- and solvent-resistant plastic bag. The solvent properties are not changed by the distillation, so the process can be repeated as often as required. All plants can be equipped with a vacuum group.
This method is used for solvents with very high boiling points or for inflammable solvents with boiling points close to their self-ignition temperatures. The vacuum can be generated either pneumatically or electrically, depending on the requirements.
