Mirka IRIDIUM™ Soft sanding discs, Ø 77 mm,
are high-quality foam abrasives designed for precise
dry sanding in the professional automotive
and industrial sectors. These sanding discs have been
specifically developed for applications where
consistent surface quality, flexible
adaptation to contours and efficient
dust extraction are crucial.
Thanks to the flexible foam backing, the
abrasive adapts perfectly to curves, edges
and complex surface shapes.
The result is a controlled
grinding pattern with uniform
material removal and a long
service life for the abrasive grain.
System & operating principle
IRIDIUM™ Soft is based on a
three-layer abrasive structure:
• Aluminium oxide abrasive grain for efficient material removal
• Flexible foam backing (5 mm) for even pressure distribution
• Soft-Grip backing for secure hold on sanding pads
The integrated Mirka Multifit™ holepattern
ensures efficient dust extraction and
reduces clogging of the abrasive.
This keeps the sanding performance consistent
and the sanding finish particularly even.
