Scope of delivery
Mirka IRIDIUM™ Soft sanding discs, Ø 150 mm,
are high-quality foam sanding discs designed for professional
dry sanding with efficient dust extraction.
These sanding discs have been specially developed for applications
in the automotive sector, in paint shops and in
industrial surface finishing.
The flexible foam backing adapts perfectly to
contours, edges and curved surfaces and
ensures even pressure distribution.
This results in a controlled sanding finish
with high surface quality and a long
service life for the abrasive.
System & operating principle
The IRIDIUM™ Soft series is based on a
three-layer abrasive structure:
• Aluminium oxide abrasive grain for high stock removal
• Flexible foam backing (approx. 5 mm) for even pressure distribution
• Soft-Grip backing for secure hold on sanding pads
The integrated Mirka Multifit™ holepattern
enables efficient dust extraction,
reduces clogging of the abrasive
and ensures a clean working environment.
This keeps sanding performance consistent
and minimises sanding marks.
