The Elcometer 480 Gloss Meter is a professional instrument for the precise measurement of gloss levels on coatings, paints, plastics, ceramics and metal. The range combines repeatable and reproducible measurements with ease of use and is suitable for quality control, laboratory testing and industrial surface inspection.
Depending on the version, the instrument measures at 60°, 20°/60° or 20°/60°/85°. Model T also offers advanced functions such as memory, batch management, statistics, USB/Bluetooth data output and data transfer for analysis.
Area of application
The gloss meter is used to assess the visual appearance of surfaces. It supports the measurement of gloss, reflectance and – depending on the model – gloss haze.
