To use a salt contamination meter |

Fill the syringe with 1.6 ml of high purity water. Note: Impure water (up to 2 µg/cm²) can be automatically equalised with the meter. |

Syringe the 1.6 ml onto a clean, unused sample paper and make sure that all the water remains on the paper. |

Place moistened paper on the area to be tested and press firmly into contours and irregularities to remove trapped air.

After 2 minutes, remove the paper from the surface and place it on the gold-plated electrodes. |

Close the lid and make sure that the magnetic catch is fully engaged. The measured value is automatically displayed and saved in the memory together with the paper format, temperature, date and time. |

Half-size or quarter-size paper can be used for tests on small areas. The paper size is automatically recognised by the Elcometer 130 and the measured value is calculated automatically. |
