The Elcometer 119 pitting gauge is a compact measuring instrument for assessing the condition of pipework. The gauge is placed horizontally on the pipe surface; the probe is guided down to the bottom of the corrosion pit. This allows the pit depth to be assessed in relation to the nominal pipe wall thickness.
