Gravity feed spray guns (also cup guns, top-feed or gravity-feed) feed material from above and enable stable, well-controlled atomization. They are the first choice for detailed work, premium clear coats and demanding wood surfaces. In this category you will find HVLP models for minimal overspray losses as well as RP variants for maximum surface performance – each with suitable nozzle sizes and air caps for your application.
With HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) you achieve a very fine, controlled edge and save material; RP (Reduced Pressure) delivers higher working speed on large areas. The decisive factors are material, object size and desired efficiency. Our filters help you select models by HVLP or RP.
Proven sizes are 1.2–1.4 mm for base and clear coats and 1.6–1.8 mm for fillers and primers. Match nozzle and air cap to viscosity and manufacturer specifications – this is how you achieve gloss, flow and coverage at a consistently high level.
For continuous work, we recommend a compressor with sufficient air delivery (from approx. 200 l/min) as well as stable line cross-sections and filtration/drying. For each model, check air demand and recommended inlet pressure to get the most out of spray pattern and efficiency.
Regular cleaning of nozzle, needle and air cap is essential. Disposable cup systems are practical for quick color changes. Fine in-line cup filters tend to clog – instead use cardboard strainers when filling. Suitable nozzles and air caps can be found in the accessories section.
All models are available directly from stock and can be individually configured with suitable accessories, nozzle sets and cup systems. Request consultation now or Buy gravity feed spray guns online.

HVLP stands for "High Volume, Low Pressure". These guns operate with a high air volume at low atomization pressure. This reduces overspray and improves transfer efficiency. Ideal for precise edges, small parts, and when material savings are important – though with slightly lower surface performance.
RP (often "Reduced Pressure" or "High Efficiency") works with slightly higher atomization pressure than HVLP. This produces very fine atomization and high surface performance, though with somewhat more overspray. Suitable for larger surfaces and fast throughput requirements.
HVLP reduces overspray and is ideal for precise edges; RP increases surface performance. The choice depends on material, object size and efficiency goals.
1.2–1.4 mm is often used for base/clear coats; 1.6–1.8 mm for fillers. Always check the material data sheets.
As a starting point, approx. 200 l/min air delivery and an adequately sized tank. The decisive factors are your gun’s manufacturer specifications (air demand, pressure).
