Coating material is prepared, diluted and conditioned in pressurised vessels, continuously stirred (if required) and then added en masse to constantly maintain the desired viscosity and correct pressure. The Binks pressure vessels are equipped with easy-to-operate air regulators. They can be set to the desired material outlet pressure. They also have safety pressure valves and manual, rotary or oscillating circulation to ensure the best agitation. Binks pressure vessels are standardised, manufactured from high quality materials, in accordance with European and global pressure regulations, including PED, ATEX and ASME. Binks offers pressure vessels for every industrial application.
These pressure vessels are CE marked in accordance with
the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, Category II 2 G X for use in Zone 1 and 2. The stirrers are labelled in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU, Category II Gc T4, and the Machinery Safety Directive 2006/42/EC.
These pressure vessels are designed as pressurised vessels to supply liquid materials at a constant preset pressure of up to 7.6 bar (110 psi). The construction of the tanks complies with ASME-BPV-XIII specifications.
The 183G models are constructed of galvanised mild steel. The 183S models are constructed of stainless steel and are more suitable for use with water-based and more corrosive materials. They are suitable for use with flammable materials.
A polythene liner is included for easy cleaning.
Preparation
Mix and prepare the materials according to the manufacturer's instructions. Filter the material through a fine sieve to remove any foreign matter that may enter and clog the fluid passages and/or sprayers. Depressurise according to the above procedure. To add the material to the container, remove the lid and pour the material directly into the container or tank. Replace the lid and tighten the clamps and thumbscrews. The air supply line to the tank should include a filter/water separator to filter dirt from the air and remove water and oil. Connect the fluid hose to the fluid drain ball valve.
Use
1. close the air inlet valve to the container. Turn the adjusting screw of the handle on the container regulator to the left until the spring is no longer under tension.
2 Switch on the air supply to the container.
3. open the air inlet valve to the container.
4. open the ball valve of the liquid drain.
5 Turn the handle on the tank pressure regulator to the right to increase the tank pressure. 6.
6 Switch on the atomising air to the spray gun at the supply source.
the supply source.
7. spray test. For further instructions, please refer to
from the documentation supplied with the spray gun.
8. if an air-driven mixer is used, start the mixer by slowly opening the needle valve. The speed of the air motor is regulated according to the type of material to be stirred.
Maintenance
Clean the appliance as follows:
1. switch off the air supply.
2. carry out the steps for depressurising.
3. turn the adjusting screw of the T-handle on the container regulator to the left until you do not recognise any spring tension. 4.
4. loosen the thumbscrews, tilt the clamps back and tilt the container lid to the side. Do not remove the lid from the container.
5. loosen the fastening ring on the spray gun air
Loosen the fastening ring on the spray gun air nozzle by approximately three turns.
6 Switch on the air supply.
7. place a cloth over the air nozzle on the spray gun and pull the trigger. The material is pressed through the hose into the container.
8 Empty and clean the container and the parts that have come into contact with the material. Use a solvent that is suitable for the material used. 9.
9 Pour the solvent into the tank. 10.
10. replace the lid and tighten the thumbscrews and clamps by hand
11 Spray until clean solvent comes out.
12 Repeat steps 4 to 8.
Lubrication - models with agitator
Refer to the operating instructions supplied with the air motor for information on lubrication. The bearings in the bearing unit of the agitator are impregnated with a non-resinous oil. Additional lubrication is not required. The seal of the agitator shaft does not require lubrication.
