Automatic AirCombi/Airmix spray guns combine high material pressure with gentle air assistance. This produces a fine, controlled spray pattern with clean edge definition – with high coverage and reduced overspray. Typical settings: material pressure 60–130 bar plus atomizing air 0.5–1.5 bar.
The nozzle selection (e.g. 0.009″–0.021″) defines flow rate and fan; the air cap stabilizes the edges and fine atomization. Filter fineness (typically 30–100 mesh) protects the nozzle; in combination with piston or diaphragm pumps and precise pressure regulation, you get reproducible film thicknesses and consistent quality.
AirCombi/Airmix automatic spray guns are controlled via 24 V I/O (needle stroke) and pneumatics, usually mounted on base plates. Quick-change nozzles, circulation systems, bypass as well as pressure and temperature monitoring shorten downtimes and increase process reliability – ideal for cycle lines and robot cells.
Airless maximizes coverage without atomizing air, but may reach limits with edges and fine transitions. Airspray delivers the finest finish but is more air- and material-intensive. AirCombi/Airmix sits in between: efficient like Airless, fine like Airspray – ideal for mixed geometries.
