DIN viscosity cups are viscosity measuring cups or viscometers for easily determining the viscosity of paints and varnishes.
The DIN 6 DIN 53211 viscosity cup ensures that the paint to be used is diluted correctly. The application of this viscosity cup is to measure the viscosity of the paint. The viscosity cup is completely filled and then the time until it is completely empty is measured. This is then compared with the data sheet of the paint manufacturer and the mixing ratio of the paint is adjusted to the optimum duration by adding more or less solvent.
