Binks AG362P – Comprehensive product description
Title and description
The Binks AG362P is an automatic low-pressure spray gun with air atomisation and a modular design for precise coating on systems and fixed installations. It is available with either a quick-change lever manifold or screw manifold (with/without recirculation) and is suitable for water- and solvent-based materials.
Highlights & advantages
- Modular design with interchangeable manifolds (lever, screw, screw with recirculation)
- Precise air caps (conventional 90 or HVLP 90HV) for defined patterns and flow
- Optional needle adjustment directly on the gun (micrometer or ratchet) and "fixed" end cap
- Stainless steel media path, Quickclean™ housing coating and robust sealing materials
- ATEX/UKEX-compliant design for Zone 1/2 (II 2 G X T6 / Ex h II Gb X)
- Wide range of accessories for process optimisation
Areas of application
Precision painting and coating, e.g. in the cosmetics and glass industries; ideal for automated lines with externally controlled material supply or optional needle flow control on the device.

Versions & part numbers
The order code follows this pattern: AG362P – [90/90HV] – [nozzle size] – [adapter/options].
Example: AG362P-90HV-05-LMP.
- Air cap: 90 (conventional) / 90HV (HVLP)
- Nozzle sizes (selection): e.g. 0.5 mm, 0.7 mm, 1.0 mm (see cap tables and tip/needle combinations)
- Adapter (manifold): L = lever, S = screw adapter without circulation, T = screw adapter with circulation
- Rear options: F = end cap (fixed), M = micrometer needle adjustment, P = sealing plug (including fan/atom blanking)
Note: For recommended air cap/nozzle combinations and tip/needle part numbers, refer to the "Air Cap Performance Guide", "Recommended Fluid Tip / Air Cap Combinations" and "Fluid Tips & Needles" tables.
Compatible accessories (selection)

FAQ
Which air cap should I choose?
90HV (HVLP) for HVLP applications (cap pressure 0.7 bar), typically 220–270 L/min at 3.8–4.8 bar. 90 (conv.) requires less air (75–125 L/min at 2.0–3.0 bar) – both achieve typically 160–200 ml/min and approx. 145 mm spray fan (depending on material/distance).
Which manifold variant is suitable for my system?
L (lever) for quick gun change; S (screw) for compact, flat profile without circulation; T (screw + circulation) if recirculation of the coating is required. Connection sizes for air/fluid differ between lever and screw.
Are there recommended start settings?
Initially open the fan/atom valves, adjust the material flow via the supplier, then set the inlet air pressure to the values recommended in the cap table; then fine-tune depending on the image (too dry/too wet).
How do I deal with typical spraying problems?
Causes are often contamination or misalignment (e.g. clogged horn holes, incorrect tip/needle, too high/too low pressure). The manual contains detailed fault diagrams for mechanics, air, fluid and spray pattern.
