Typical components are nozzles and air caps, material and air filters, pressure regulators/gauges, pressure pots, material and air hoses, swivels and quick couplings as well as seal and service kits. All components should be matched to the medium, viscosity, air volume, nozzle size and ATEX/stainless steel requirements.
How do I correctly select filter fineness, hose diameter and regulators?
Choose filter fineness according to the nozzle (as coarse as possible, as fine as necessary). Dimension hose ID according to the required flow rate and line length, keeping dead volume low. Use regulators/gauges with sufficient flow capacity and fine resolution; for solvent-based media, take ATEX and stainless steel into account.
Which maintenance parts are useful and how often should maintenance be carried out?
Recommended are seal and service kits for pump and gun, replacement filter elements, O-rings, nozzle/air cap sets and lubricants. Maintenance intervals depend on operating time, medium and compressed air cleanliness. Regular visual and leak checks increase process reliability and surface quality.
