The protection class and the special filters

The SATA air star F 2.0 is equipped with combination filters that provide dual protection: they offer protection against organic gases and vapours (boiling point > 65°C) as well as against fine dust, oil and water vapours.

The mask fulfils the protection classes:

• A2: protection against organic gases and vapours with a boiling point above 65°C.
• P3: protection against fine dust and oil and water vapours up to 30 times the occupational exposure limit.

The "R" in the classification stands for "reusable". This means that the special filters of the air star F 2.0 can be used for more than one shift. However, they should be replaced after a week at the latest.

Care and storage

To ensure the functionality and protection of the mask, the filters must be changed at least once a week or earlier if heavily contaminated. Between uses, the mask should be stored in an airtight container, for example in the box in which it was delivered or in the SATA hygiene box.
