The new nozzle system "I" and "O" nozzles offers the painter different spray patterns and new possibilities in the application. For the user of spray guns, this nozzle system is designed to be easy to understand and the existing technologies HVLP and RP are used here.
For both versions, there are "I" and "0" nozzle sets for the spray gun, as well as nozzles of different sizes. The material ejection is constant for both nozzle sets and they only differ in shape, as shown in the picture. The spray height and spray width are identical for all nozzle sizes.
"I" nozzles with the stretched jet shape have a short run-out zone and a dry jet core, which is ideal for a low application speed and offers the user a high degree of control. The layer thickness per spray pass is slightly lower than with the "O" nozzle.
The "O" nozzle, with its oval spray pattern, offers the painter a larger run-out zone and a wet jet core, which can be used at a higher application speed, but offers less control.
One advantage of this SATA nozzle system is that no air distribution ring is required in the spray gun, making cleaning easier and faster.
Further advantages are the improved atomisation of this X-nozzle, which enables the painter to work in a revolutionary way. In addition, this new nozzle system and the SATA X5500 spray gun can achieve significant material savings.
