The Impact Tester is used to measure the impact resistance of coatings. This allows you to simulate the formation of cracks and flaking, resistance to impact as well as the flexibility, adhesion and elongation of coatings.
If you need to comply with a standard, simply place the mass at the specified height and release it. Then visually inspect for possible cracks.
To check the resistance of a coating, you can continue the test by gradually increasing the height until the mass produces cracks on the sample.The impact tester is supplied with a support base, lined tube and an impact mass, equipped with a holding device according to the required standard - (see table in the data sheet for specific accessories).
